The Press and Information Office (PIO) is the state communication service of the government and operates under the Ministry of Interior.
The role of the PIO is to brief the citizens of the republic as well as the international community on all issues relating to Cyprus including political, economic and cultural. As part of this role, the PIO is responsible for communicating the government's potition and activities regarding the Cyprus problem as well as the participation of Cyprus within the European Union.
